Last Sunday saw the end of our Verden campaign, which ran from November 2015 until January 2016 for 5 sessions. It was an exciting time for me as we tested the first beta versions of the Core Rulebook and the Supernatural Rulebook, my first draft of the Verden Sourcebook, and the first Verden adventure.

All in all, I think it was a success. I received a lot of useful feedback, which I’ve kept track of using the campaign logs and development updates on this website. We tested new and experimental rules as I came up with them and the players demonstrated great flexibility and willingness to adapt. The result is a wealth of information on what works and what doesn’t, what’s cool and what isn’t.

And that means I finally get to go back to the drawing board to redo the books. There’s a lot of work to do, and I’m not sure how long it will take me, but we’ll see how I get along.

Once the new material is finished, playtesting will resume, hopefully the last time before we get a final, stable version. That playtesting will take us into space, to playtest a new Sourcebook that I started work on some time ago.

In the meanwhile, I’ll keep posting stories (maybe even a few about the new setting) and development updates to show what I’m working on!
